I grew up in Northern Illinois and have called Mundelein home for 13 years. My husband and I are raising four active kids, which keeps me closely connected to our schools, youth activities, and the pulse of everyday family life. The relationships we have built with neighbors, and the conversations around our dinner table, keep me focused on what matters most: family and community.

What began as a place to raise a family quickly became a community I care deeply about. Through school events, sports, lake clean-ups, and volunteer work, I have spent years strengthening the connections that make this such a special place to live.

I come from humble, hardworking roots. Both of my parents grew up on dairy farms, and I learned early the value of showing up and helping wherever I was needed. Those experiences shaped me into someone who is curious, optimistic, and willing to get her hands dirty. I believe in standing up for what is right and standing up for people, even when no one is watching.

I have devoted my time to serving on the Diamond Lake District 76 School Board, advocating for strong schools, responsible development, and open communication between residents and local government. Making sure people have a voice is at the heart of how I view public service.

I am known for being tenacious. When something matters, I stay with it. Whether the issue involves schools, communication, or community priorities, I ask questions, do the work, and stay focused on results. That commitment is what I will bring to the Lake County Board.

Serving on the Diamond Lake District 76 School Board for six years has shown me the impact of decisions that stay centered on people. During that time, we made data-informed choices that supported students and families, consolidated campuses to use resources wisely, strengthened student safety, improved communication with residents, and partnered with neighboring districts to reduce redundancies and stretch every tax dollar.

These efforts earned the district several recognitions, including the Horizon National School to Watch designation, Level 3 Marzano High Reliability Schools status, and recognition from Fortune as one of the Best Places to Work in Chicago.

Beyond education, I have worked on community priorities such as road safety, responsible development, and environmental protection. I partnered with State Representative Dan Didech and Senator Adriane Johnson to help pass a state law that allows homeowners to remove racially restrictive covenants from their property deeds. I also participated with the Diamond Lake Alliance, working with neighbors, environmental experts, and the Mundelein Park District to create a long-term plan to protect and restore the health of Diamond Lake.

I bring a practical, people-first approach to every issue, always grounded in what will strengthen families and the community as a whole.

I believe everyone should have the freedom to live fully as themselves, as long as it does not harm others. Respect for individuality, compassion, and diversity helps us grow as a community. Our differences give us perspective and remind us of the humanity we share.

I also believe in balance. We can protect Lake County’s natural spaces and quality of life while supporting thoughtful, sustainable growth. Fairness matters, and every resident deserves a meaningful voice in the decisions that shape their daily lives.

Family is at the center of these values. Raising four children here keeps me grounded and reminds me daily of the kind of community we want for the next generation. I see our broader community as an extension of that family, built on trust, connection, and shared responsibility. These are the values I will bring to the Lake County Board.

Issues and Priorities

Improving Infrastructure and Traffic Safety

Improving Infrastructure and Traffic Safety

Improving Infrastructure and Traffic Safety

Our roads, sidewalks, and bike paths are the arteries of our community. They connect families, support local businesses, and keep daily life moving. I understand how frustrating it can be to sit in traffic at a congested intersection or worry about safety while walking or biking with your kids.

I will advocate for smart, forward-thinking investments in local roads, sidewalks, bike trails, pedestrian crossings, and public transportation that meet today’s needs and plan for tomorrow’s growth.

Reliable infrastructure is about more than convenience. It is about safety, accessibility, and making sure Lake County works better for families, businesses, and commuters alike.

Responsible Growth and Development

Lake County is growing, and that growth should strengthen our communities and improve quality of life for the people who live here. I believe development should serve residents first, not just developers.

I will advocate for responsible, long-term planning that protects our infrastructure and safeguards our natural environment. I also support fair impact fee policies that ensure new developments contribute their fair share toward the public services they rely on.

Growth can be a good thing when it is done thoughtfully. My goal is to make sure we plan ahead, protect what makes Lake County special, and preserve the character and sense of community that make this such a great place to live.

Education is the foundation of a strong community. As a longtime school board member and a parent of four, I have seen how much our schools mean to families and how important it is to keep them well-supported and accountable.

I will continue to advocate for fair funding, safe and modern facilities, and strong partnerships between the County Board, local school districts, and families. Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and that starts with schools that have the resources they need and communities that stand behind them.

Supporting education also means supporting families. I believe in building connections that help parents access information, resources, and services that make life easier and help children thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Protecting Our Lakes and Green Spaces

Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency

Our lakes, forest preserves, and open spaces are some of Lake County’s greatest treasures. They bring people together, protect wildlife, and give us all a place to breathe, recharge, and connect with nature.

I will prioritize policies that protect clean water, prevent flooding, and preserve our natural beauty for future generations.  I have seen firsthand how much can be accomplished when residents, experts, and local agencies come together to care for our environment.

I believe that environmental stewardship and community well-being go hand in hand. Protecting the land and water we share is not just about conservation. It is about protecting our quality of life and ensuring that Lake County remains a healthy, beautiful place to live.

Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency

Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency

Taxpayers deserve to know exactly how their money is being spent and to trust that every dollar is used responsibly. County government should operate efficiently, transparently, and with clear accountability for results.

I will work to keep budgets open and accessible, ensure funding decisions are data-driven, and focus on practical solutions that deliver real value to residents. Fiscal responsibility is not just about saving money. It is about using resources wisely so that we can invest in the programs, infrastructure, and services that truly strengthen Lake County.

Putting People Before Politics

Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency

Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency

I believe in listening, collaboration, and common-sense solutions. Politics should never get in the way of doing what is right for the people we serve.

I am running to make sure the voices and values of District 10 residents are represented at the county level. My focus will always remain on what is best for our residents, our families, and the community I am proud to call home.

For me, leadership is about building trust, finding common ground, and taking action that improves people’s lives. When we put people before politics, we create a stronger, more united Lake County.
